Jimmy Lee Brooks, Sr., age 88, of McDonough, Georgia passed away at home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. He was born in Clay County, Georgia on March 9, 1933 to Tommie and Pauline Brooks. Jimmy was a U.S. Army veteran, a Mason and a Shriner. He was an avid golfer and Georgia Bulldog fan. He worked for Georgia Power Company for 38 years and served as the local manager in the McDonough office for 16 years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dee Brooks; son Rocky (Tina) Brooks of Locust Grove, grandchildren Daniel (Ashley) Brooks, Joshua (Lauren) Childers, Shiloh Brooks; great grandchildren Aubrey, Michael, Avery and Mason; sister, Shirley Brooks; son-in-law Randy Childers, nephew Trey (Pam) Woolf and great niece Alissa.
He is predeceased by his daughter Janis Brooks Childers, grandson Bryan Brooks and sister Paula Brooks Woolf.
Private memorial services to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his honor may be made to Watermark Church, 1440 Brookwood Ave, Jackson, GA 30233.
