Jimmy Leroy Weaver, 88 of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away April 10, 2026. He was born March 8, 1938, in Rockmart, Georgia to the late Martin and Rosie Weaver. He was preceded in death by a son, Jim Weaver, Jr. and a brother, Billy Weaver. Jimmy retired as a lineman with Georgia Power and served faithfully at Salem Baptist Church in the Kitchen Ministry, the Men's Prayer Breakfast and the Usher Ministry. Jimmy never met a stranger and brought joy to a room with his giant personality and smile. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with his family. Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Alice Weaver, whom he married June 20, 1959; daughters, Susan (David) Knause and Tracy (John) Batchelor; grandchildren, Stephanie Adcock, Jimmy Hawkins, Rebekah Augspurger, Ashley Batchelor and Elizabeth Batchelor; great grandchildren, Tiffany (Jordan) Jenkins, William Adcock, III, Allison Adcock and Savannah Batchelor; great-great grandchildren, Eli Jenkins and Carter Jenkins; brother, Robert (Linda) Weaver; several cousins and other family. A visitation will be held at Salem Baptist Church, 1724 GA-155 N, McDonough, GA 30252 on April 15, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held Thursday - 11:00 am at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, 722 Conley Rd., Forest Park, GA 30297. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to World Outreach Ministries (Tracy and John's mission ministry) in memory of Jimmy.
