JoAnn Brannen Gay

Mrs. Gay was a member of Hampton First Baptist Church. She was known for her southern hospitality, servant’s heart, and wonderful baked goods. She was happiest when she was spending time with friends and family.

Survivors are her husband of 62 years, Curtis Gay of Hampton; children, Curtis Michael (Jeanie) Gay of Register, GA, Angela (Richard) Crenshaw of Hampton and Karlyn (David) Smith of Griffin; grandchildren, Kelli Gay of Dunwoody, Emily Loesel of Canton, Trey Crenshaw of Hampton, Brannen Crenshaw of Hampton and Gracie Smith of Griffin; brother and sister-in-law, Lehman (Sharon) Brannen of Register; nephews, Jason (Haley) Brannen of Register, and Josh Brannen of Register; aunt and uncle, Betty and Jones Akins of Florida and several cousins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Monday, October 2, 2017 – 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Kory Burel officiating and Interment will follow at Berea Cemetery in Hampton.
