Mr. John Cain Black, age 80 of McDonough, Georgia passed away January 19, 2019. He was born in Chattanooga, TN to the late John Cain Black, Sr. and Alphisa Dorthea Alford Black. John faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He owned and operated Black and Associates for 35 years and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He was a former deacon and Sunday school teacher and was known by many as a Godly man. He read his Bible every day and was an avid chess player. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Joyce Baker Black; children, Kevin (Kati) Black of Cumming, Karen (Carl) Grizzard of Covington and Keith (Angie) Black of Covington; grandchildren, Joshua (Katie), Ty and Brooke Black, Samantha, Spencer, Quinton, Tate and Jessica Grizzard, Kristen and Lauren Black; great grandchildren, Hunter, Cole, Khloe, Elijah, Oliver and Weston; brother, Ronny (Margie) Black of Marietta; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 24, 2019 – 7:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may visit the family Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM prior to the service.
