Johnny Allen Hampton

Johnny Hampton, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away at his home, September 18, 2025, at the age of 72. Johnny touched countless lives with his kindness, strong faith, and deep devotion to his family and friends.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Hampton and Janie Corley Hampton. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Patsy Hampton. Later in life, he was blessed to find love again and married Gail Sailors Hampton, with whom he shared a devoted and loving marriage.

He is survived by his two sons, Shane and Fran Hampton and Jason Hampton and Natelie Hampton, as well as his step-sons, Jeff and Tina Smith and Jason and Kari Smith. Johnny was a proud grandfather to Emily Hampton, Olivia Hampton, Julia Hampton, Peyton Hampton, Corey Huddletons, Aubrey Hawkins, Courtney Seamans, Mallory Smith, Blake Smith and Jud Smith. He also cherished his Great Grandchildren and the bond he shared with all of his family and friends.

A service to celebrate Johnny's life will be held on Tuesday, September 23, for viewing at Haisten Funeral Home, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway South, McDonough, GA. 30236 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Johnny will be taken to Pinecrest Baptist Church, 175 Foster Dr., McDonough, GA on September 24, for viewing from 11:00am to 12:00pm and funeral service to follow at noon. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor his memory.
