Robert was born 12-29-1941 in Jérémie, Haiti. His parents were Alicia Moussignac and Savoir Georges. He attended primary school in Bannave, Jérémie. At fifteen, he moved to Port-au-Prince to continue his education, dedicating his life to serving people. He joined the military, which he detested, and later left it.
In 1968, he met a beautiful young lady named Annie, who became the love of his life, before migrating to New York in 1971. They went to City Hall, and the following year she joined him. In 1976, they got married and had two kids.
Robert worked at Sheepshead Nursing Home in Brooklyn as a housekeeper and became a supervisor for thirty-seven years. He was a hard worker, an excellent handyman, always offered his help to others, a leader, a patriarch, and a counselor—someone with lots of discipline. If you didn’t have any, he would tell you to step aside.
In January 6 of this year, he dedicated his life to the Lord. That was the best thing he had done in his life.
Thursday, August twenty, at five a.m., God dispatched an angel to his bedside. The message was to bring His servant home. He closed his eyes and slipped away, leaving behind his beloved wife, Annie; kids Shirley and husband Dexter Solomon, Herby and wife Shantia Georges; grandkids Sanyia, Destiny, Ashley, Elijah, and Valerie; his brother Solon and his wife Marie Georges; nieces and nephews Louna, Lucia, Edwin, Mirlande Georges, Nicole, Jimmy Germain, Louis, Herold, Brandon, Gilbert, Junior, Gelin, Kiki Georges; cousins Frenel, Ederme, Harry, Bernard Georges; and all other family afflicted by this grief.
Arnal Vernet, Jean-Claude Auguste and wife, sister-in-law Gerta Leonard, family and friends Innocent, St-Vil, Misere, Lafleur, the Ebenezer family, Gina, Sean and family.
