Karen Agnes Kiel

Mrs. Karen Kiel, age 70, of Jackson GA passed away on March 30, 2023. She was born in Thomaston, GA to the late Homer and Margie (Jackson) Johnson. Karen is preceded in death by her husband Konrad Martin Kiel; sister, Gail Ellington.

Karen was a compassionate, selfless person, who devoted 38 years of service to Piedmont Henry Hospital as a registered nurse and retired as nurse administrator. She was a member of Wesley Way United Methodist Church. Karen adored her grandchildren and will be missed by many.

Mrs. Kiel is survived by her daughter, Brandi (Tommy) Nicholson; son, Brian (Tori) Kiel; grandchildren, Aaron Taylor Lowe and Caroline Grace Lowe; sister, Faye Smith; nephew, Jeffrey Ellington; nieces, Tammy Wyatt, Crystal Butler and Rachel Turner.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Haisten Funerals and Cremations, 1745 S. Zack Hinton Pkwy, McDonough, GA 30253. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 640 McGarity Road, McDonough, GA 3052.
