

Linda Christian Colfax, 83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 29, 2026. She was born in Kenova, WV on September 3, 1942 to Raymond Clifford Christian and Pearl Pauline Pelfrey.
Linda lived a life defined by dedication to her family, resilience, and a remarkable work ethic. She enjoyed a long and successful career as an insurance sales representative in Oklahoma, where she built lasting relationships, climbing to the role of senior vice president of Sedgwick James Insurance and earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike through her professionalism and genuine care for others.
As the daughter of a serviceman, Linda had the opportunity to live in both Germany and Japan during her father’s military service. Those experiences broadened her perspective and created many treasured memories for their family.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Harry Colfax; her great-grandsons, Nathan Hale and Thad Sistrunk; and her sister-in-law, Vicki Christian.
Linda is survived by her three sons and their families: Chris Hale (Lisa), Greg Hale (Angela), and Clint Hale (Kim).
She was a proud grandmother to David (Crystal), Laura (Justin), Josh (Amanda), James (Kelly), Lindsay (Aubrey), and Alyssa (fiancé Chandler).
Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren: Georgia (Nathan), Sophie, Joshua, Emma, Henry, Malachi, Easton, Jack, Charlie, Hadley, and great-great granddaughter Esther.
She is survived by her brothers, Mike Christian and Robert (Cheryl), niece & nephews, Kimberly, Erin, and Ryan and great-nephew, Holden.
Childhood friend spanning 73 years, Polly Earle, and many other cousins and family.
Linda will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her strength, her independent spirit, and the many lives she touched throughout her long career and lifetime. Her greatest joy was watching her family grow through the generations, and she took pride in each of their accomplishments.
Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her family find comfort in the many memories they shared and in the enduring legacy she leaves behind.
Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Linda’s life on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Sardis Baptist Church (2120 Keys Ferry Road | McDonough, GA 30252). Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the church cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Sardis Baptist Church.
