Lois Ann Poole passed on April 14, 2026, at the age of 83. Born June 14, 1942, to the late Jeff Stevens and Nellie (Meshach) McVey. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son Donald E. Acree, daughter Regina L. Acree, siblings Charles Sykes, Wesley Sykes and Earnestine Dendy, and husband Don Poole.
Lois is survived by her two grandsons Christopher (Stephanie) Acree and Eric (Elizabeth) Acree; great grandchildren Piper Acree, Natalie Eubanks and Chloe Eubanks; sister Charline (Tommy) Mathis; and nieces, nephews, and beloved family.
Lois was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. She enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and a good yard sale. She also loved to spend time with her close neighbors and those who helped with the senior citizens center. Her favorite pastime was taking care of her two dogs Hoppy and the late PJ.
A graveside service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 6841 Tara Blvd, Jonesboro, GA 30236, US, on April 18, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
