Margaret F. Patton, age 79, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022. Margaret was born September 20, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late J.C and Annie Kelly Mitchell. She was preceded in death by siblings, Betty Laverne Mitchell, James Ralph Mitchell and J.W. Mitchell, son in law, Stephen Foster and sister in law, Barbara Mitchell. Margaret was retired from LaGrange College as a caterer from which she was able to cater for the Callaway family. She was a member of Spring Street Baptist Church in Smyrna. She loved the Lord, her family and the Georgia Bulldogs. She enjoyed cooking for her family and being a caretaker. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and great grandchildren and take them shopping. Survivors include her children, Arlene Patton Foster, Darlene Lee Patton, Benny Morris (April) Patton, Jr., Sharon Patton (Jeff) Mitchell and Chad Mitchell (Demetria) Patton all of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Amber Lauren Foster Trott of Stone Mountain, Ashley Fawn (Daniel) Harper of Milner, Jeffrey (Jessica) Mitchell, Jr. of Locust Grove, Austin Foster of Locust Grove and Mallory Mitchell (Josh) Dominey of Milner; great grandchildren, Victoria Trott, Colton Trott, Reece Harper, Collyns Harper, Knox Harper, Paisley Mitchell, Brooks Mitchell, Junior Dominey and Taylor Dominey; brother, Cecil (Ann) Mitchell of Buford; sister in law, Sherry Mitchell of Conyers; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 - 3:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Tom Summers will officiate. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
