

Marion Marie White Waller, 93, of McDonough, Georgia, wife of 72 years to the late William Harold Waller, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from complications of Alzheimer disease. Born in DeKalb County, Georgia on October 8, 1921, Mrs. Waller was the youngest daughter of the late Issie Mae Mann White and Amos Carl White, Sr. Raised in Jonesboro, Georgia Mrs. Waller was a graduate of Jonesboro High School. Survivors include her daughters: Sandra Waller Turner (married to the late David Turner) and Dyann Waller Evans and her husband Ron Evans; grandchildren: Rhonda Turner Daum; Daundra Turner Fletcher and her husband Chris Fletcher; Regina Evans Wolf; and Brannon Evans and his wife Lisa Evans; great grandchildren: Chris Daum; Ashley Fletcher; Jaxon Wolf; and McCall Wolf; great great grandson: Caleb Booth; and extended family of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Waller was a Christian who loved her church, Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church, and attended with her family. She often reminisced of her siblings, who were all deceased before her, and told wonderful stories of growing up in the 1920s and 1930s. Her 3 sisters (Mae White Carter; Frances White Stephens; Elizabeth White Deadwyler) and 2 brothers (Marcus Eugene White and Amos Carl White, Sr.) and all their children were always in her heart. She knew the importance of keeping family close and instilled those family values, feelings and thoughts in her daughters and grandchildren. Her love of family was apparent to everyone and she never missed an opportunity to tell stories about her grandchildren. The love and respect shown by everyone was a tribute to her life and she will be greatly missed. A celebration of Marie Waller’s life will be held at Haisten’s Funeral Home Chapel in McDonough, Georgia, on Thursday, August 27, 2015, from 2:00 PM through 7:00 PM. Graveside services will be Friday, August 28, 2015, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Tara Blvd., Jonesboro, Georgia.
