Mrs. Mary Alice Martin, age 80 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away April 8, 2021. She was born in Danielsville, Georgia to the late Albert Lewis and Mattie Elvira O'Kelley Fendley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dewey Arnold Martin and by siblings, Jack Fendley and Janie Daniel. Alice was a graduate of Madison High School, Class of 1958. She worked for Colonial Hills Christian School in East Point for eleven years and then worked in medical records at Spalding Regional Hospital before retiring. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was an avid reader and gardener. Survivors include her children, Jennifer Orr of Locust Grove and Steve (Alexis) Martin of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Isabell and Seth Martin and Katelin Orr; sister, Joyce (Ernest) Motes of Tucker; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Sunday, April 11, 2021 - 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Kenny Heath officiating. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to Grace Baptist Church or Samaritans Purse in memory of Alice.
