Mary Lou McDonald

Mrs. Mary Lou McCurry McDonald age 83, of Jackson, GA formerly of Landers Chapel Road, Lincolnton, NC passed away March 8, 2016. She was born in Lincolnton, NC the daughter of the late Odell Virginia Mosteller McCurry and Lee Vinton McCurry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Garland “R.G.” McDonald and a great grandson, Daniel Wilson. Mrs. McDonald enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, the beach, motorcycling, cooking, and working on her brother’s strawberry farm. Survivors are children; Debbie and Danny Fowler of Jackson, GA, Mickie and Bob Perkins of Dallas, NC, Ricky and Margaret McDonald of Lincolnton, NC; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, Ken and Beatrice McCurry of Lincolnton, Jim McCurry of Cherryville, Betty and Bill Schronce of Lincolnton, Lois and Jim Eden of Cherryville, Vickie and Don Schrum of Lincolnton, and Eddie Joe and Anna McCurry of Marble, NC; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Mrs. McDonald will be on Friday, March 11, 2016 – 2:00 PM at Golden Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery in Bostic, NC.
