Maxine Shook Cason

Mrs. Maxine Shook Cason, age 67, of McDonough, GA passed away January 14, 2015. Maxine was born in Asheville, NC the daughter of the late Cornelia Hazel Haney Shook and Mack Shook. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren, her dogs, horses, miniature ponies and her pet deer. Survivors are her husband, Linton Cason of McDonough; children, Stephanie Rimar (Matt) of McDonough and Tracy Brock (Tim) of Flovilla; grandchildren, Dylan Townsend, Tyler, Olivia, and Haley Rimar, Mackenzie Foster, T. J., Jake, and Jenny Brock; great grandchild, J. W. Brock; siblings, JoAnn Shook of Candler, NC, Missy Ellege of Candler, NC, Calvin Shook (Patty) of Fletcher, NC, Jeff Shook of Asheville, NC, and Marty Shook (Karen) of Asheville, NC. Funeral service for Maxine will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 – 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Stubbs officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 – 8:00 PM. A committal service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 – 11:00 AM at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. For those who wish in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G.
