Nancy Dickson Snelling

Mrs. Nancy Dickson Snelling, age 82, of McDonough, GA passed away October 6, 2015. Nancy was born in Jacksonville, Florida the daughter of the late Margaret Tweedell Dickson and Gordon Eugene Dickson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Snelling. Nancy attended Brenau College in Gainesville, the Atlanta Division of the University of Georgia, which is now known as Georgia State. She worked for ten years in personnel placement and ten years in office management. Nancy enjoyed bowling, the beach and spending time with family and friends. Survivors are her daughter, Sherry Richardson (Michael) of Roswell; son, David Peet (Tammy) of Lawrenceville; grandson, Tony Richardson (Lacie) of Tucker; granddaughters, Carrie Marcus (Logan) of Los Angeles, CA, Nancy Guillory (David) of Buford, Jessica Dillard (Zach) of Atlanta and Stephanie Peet of Atlanta; and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral service for Mrs. Snelling will be Saturday, October 10, 2015 – 3:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Chaplain Rex Allen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the McDonough City Cemetery.
