Mr. Otto Peter Nagel III, “Sonny”, age 68 of McDonough, GA, passed away November 10, 2015. Sonny was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Mary Floyd Smith Nagel and Otto Peter Nagel Jr. He was retired from Delta Air Lines with 38 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, telling jokes, playing darts, cooking, hunting, fishing, movies, all sports, his dog and history. Survivors are his daughter, April Burgess (Kerry) of McDonough; grandchildren, John Burgess Jr. and Brittnie Burgess of McDonough; great grandchild, McKinlee Burgess of McDonough; sisters, Paulette Sasser (Roff) of Rincon, GA; brother, Monty Nagel (Angie) of Metter; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Sonny will be on Saturday, November 14, 2015 – 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with interment at Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, November 13, 2015 – 6- 8:00 PM.
