Patricia "Gail" Cowan

Patricia Gail Cowan, age 71 went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in Locust Grove, Georgia surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late William and Gladys Richards. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by the love of her life, Darrell Cowan, who she had married in 1982 and her brother William "Billy" Richards.

Ms. Cowan is survived by her daughter Evelyn (Tyler) Strozier and honorary daughter Angela (Kris) Rozelle; honorary grandchildren Addisyn Harris, Gracelyn Harris, and Kolton Rozelle; aunts Nancy McGhee and Jane McGhee; sister-in-law Phyllis Cowan; niece Kim (Paul) Keane; nephew Ben (Joan) Cowan; and many great nieces, nephew, cousins, and grandpuppies Ace and Goldie.

Gail was a proud mother and loved her daughter Evelyn very much. She was also a proud "Mama Gail" and "Nana Gail" too, and loved her family and friends wholeheartedly. She was a long time, devoted member of New Hope Church. She was a legal secretary for many years for S.T. Ellis and the Henry County Probate Court that left a lasting impact on the community. She was a big Tennessee Vols fan and enjoyed watching General Hospital. She liked to travel and loved to laugh. Gail had a big heart and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation for Gail will be on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253. A celebration of life will be the next morning on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Church, 1960 New Hope Rd, Locust Grove, GA 30248. The committal service will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
