Randy David Carson

Mr. Randy David Carson, age 59, of McDonough, GA passed away August 31, 2016. David was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Shirley Boze Carson and Douglas Irvan Carson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Don Carson. David enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, golf, music, singing, writing his song lyrics, traveling, and a devoted Christian man who enjoyed preaching and sharing God’s word. He served his country in the US Army, and was employed with the Federal Government for 36 years and retired from the FAA. He enjoyed working as a volunteer Blue and Gold Officer of the US Naval Academy Board of Admissions for 15 years. Survivors are his wife of 36 years, Anita Carson of McDonough; children, Billy Carson (Carlie) of Norfolk, VA and Candace Carson Clement of McDonough; grandchildren, Joshua and Colton Clement of McDonough; brother, Richard Douglas Carson (Debbie) of Fayetteville; sister, Darlene Crawley of Alpharetta; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5 – 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Sunday, September 4, 2016 – 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral home. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville. Arrangements are being handled under the direction of Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough (770.914.8833).
