Robert W. Brown

Mr. Robert W. Brown, age 83 of McDonough, Georgia passed away August 3, 2016. He was born in Albany, Kentucky to the late Leo and Ethel Gibson Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sue Higgins Brown and his brother, Charles Thomas Brown. Bob owned and operated Metropolitan Heating and Air Inc. for 40 years and was the HVAC inspector for the City of Hapeville for over 30 years. Bob enjoyed woodworking, playing piano, collecting and playing guitars, building train sets, model cars and airplanes. His love of his family and the life he had with them was always at the forefront of his heart and mind. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include his children, Roberta (Hugh) Preston of Douglasville, David (Raye Ann) Brown of McDonough, Virginia (Robert, Jr.) Downey of McDonough, Pamela Ansley of McDonough, Tracy (Lonnie) Kimberly of Stockbridge; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 – 2:00 pm at Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Riley will officiate. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
