Mr. Robert Clarence “Bob” Shaffer, Sr., age 83 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away October 12, 2014. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Clarence Robert and Margaret Neibauer Shaffer. Bob faithfully served his country and retired after 28 years with the United States Army. He was a devoted husband and enjoyed leisurely walks and rides in the car. Survivors include his wife, Hope Shaffer of Locust Grove, GA; children, Regina Galda of Marlton, NJ, Bob Shaffer, Jr. of Carson City, NV and Laurence R. “Larry” and Judi Shaffer of Glendora, NJ; step daughter, Dawn Spry and Francis Leary of Murphy, NC; grandchildren, Lauren, Joe and Aiden. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 1:00 pm from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with full military honors.
