Roy Allen Robinson

Roy Allen Robinson, 79 years old, was born on September 6, 1946 and passed away on October 14, 2025 at home after a short illness in McDonough, GA. He graduated from Middle Georgia College in 1964 with an associate's degree in science before going on to receive a bachelor's of science from UGA in 1969. He was a pharmacist for various drug stores throughout his career. He worked for Reed, Drugs, Eckerds, RiteAid, and Kroger was his last employer before he retired in 2012.

He was a member of Hampton Baptist Church where he served various capacities of youth leadership and as a sunday school teacher until health issues restricted his activities. He loved his family, reading, kayaking, University of California, Thailand boxing teams, the Middle Georgia Karate team, Southeast Saunte teams, motorcycles, guns, exercising, hiking, bible study, playing on the computer, traveling, and watching all kinds of movies, especially science fiction.

He met his wife, Valerie Ann Robinson, in 1998 and they married in 2003. After marrying, they decided to go into construction and with help from family, built two barns, a shed, and a chicken coop. Eventually acquiring dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, and ducks. He had his own little hobby farm. All that remains now are some cats, chickens, and a horse.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents Samuel Hagerson Robinson and Allie "Rea" Robinson of Hampton, his granddaughter Ashley Marie Palmer of Acworth, and son-in-law Fred Storar II.

He is survived by his wife Valerie Ann Hoffsetz-Cooper-Robinson of McDonough; children Kristen Ann Cooper-Palmer-Storar of McDonough, formally from Acworth, Kevin Lloyd Cooper, and daughter-in-law Alicia Cooper of Buford; grandchildren, Austin Michael Palmer of McDonough, formally from Acworth, Coral Grace Cooper of Buford, Mason and Sierra Baxter of Buford; and many beloved friends.

A service will be at Haisten Funerals and Cremations, in McDonough, GA on November 6, 2025 at 2:00 p.m, visitation will be an hour prior from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m.
