Ruth T. Lindsey, age 97, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. She was born in McDonough, GA on August 29, 1927 to the late Ernest Lee and Ola Ophelia Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William Lindsey and her grandson Chad Lindsey and her siblings, Eldridge and Julian Turner and Dorothy King. Ruth enjoyed cooking and reading and she loved to dance. Mrs. Lindsey was very active with the Saints Alive Bible Study and the Visitation Team at Locust Grove United Methodist Church where she was a member for over 60 years. Ruth is survived by her children, Bill and Peggy Lindsey of Columbia, SC and Teri and Jack Woodford of Griffin, GA, grandchildren Brigette (Derek) Lindsey Gleason and Michele Woodford, great grandchildren Clara and Brooks Gleason and nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held for the immediate family on February 27, 2024. Please celebrate her life with a toast and a dance!
