Sara Joann Hightower

Joann was born October 13, 1954 in Coshocton, Ohio, the 4th of seven children, to Francis and Mildred Lillibridge. Later she moved to Georgia where she married Michael Hightower and became the loving, nurturing mother of her two children Brandon and Nicolas, for whom she dedicated her life.

That love only grew when she became “Granny” to her three beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Brianna, and Teagin. From the moment they were born until her untimely passing, she embraced her role as their proud and devoted grandmother, serving as the loving matriarch of the Hightower family.

Joann will ALWAYS be remembered for her kind heart, boundless creativity, and talent for crafting. She found joy in caring for her beloved great grand-dogs and birds, but above all, her greatest passion was her family. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved creating a lifetime of treasured memories that will live on in their hearts forever.

Sara Joann Hightower is survived by her loving children, Brandon and Nicolas (Lori); her cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Brianna, and Teagin; her two siblings, Deborah Lillibridge and Michael Lillibridge. She leaves behind a family who will forever carry her love, strength, and memory with them.

Services to honor her life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Haisten Funeral Home, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia 30253
