

Saundra Williams Rutledge, 81, of Loganville, GA, was called home to Heaven on July 22, 2026. Sandy was born on September 6, 1944, to Leonard and Nedralle Williams, in Savannah, GA. She attended Jackson High School in Jackson, GA. She met Clinton H. Rutledge at age 15, they married two years later and were united for 58 years until Clinton’s passing in 2021.
Sandy was a friend to everyone who knew her, she fiercely loved her family and was happiest spending time with them. She loved The Lord, and guided everyone she knew to know Him and love Him too.
Sandy and Clinton raised 4 loving and devoted children, had 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; she loved all children and worked as a paraprofessional and a substitute teacher in Gwinnett County. She always made everyone feel welcome and loved.
Sandy found joy in being outside; often you could find her in the garden, where she grew beautiful plants and flowers. She loved to collect rocks and seashells, she loved to travel and ride in the car on road trips she took with her family. She was an avid crafter and made porcelain dolls that she hand painted and sold as beautiful keepsakes.
Sandy was happiest spending time with all of her family and was a loving wife, sister, Mom, and Nana always.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Nedralle Williams, her sister, Darlene Stewart, her loving husband, Clinton H. Rutledge, several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She is survived by her sister, Merrie Pagliaro, brother, Gerry (Cindy) Williams, children, Scott, Kelly (Erin), Susan, and Jana, grandchildren, Clint (Kara), Amy, and Elizabeth, great-grandchildren, Kynlee and Rhett. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held on August 9, 2026, at Haisten Funerals and Cremations in McDonough, GA. Visitation is from 1:00-2:00 pm and the service begins at 2:00 pm.
