Sonia Elaine Martin

Ms. Sonia Elaine Martin, age 61 of Locust Grove, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. She was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Betty Craft. Sonia retired after 25+ years from the Georgia Department of Revenue and enjoyed her retirement by going to her grandchildren's softball games and beauty pageants. She enjoyed cooking for her family, shopping and relaxing with her beloved dog Zoey. She is survived by her daughters: Misty (Joe Collins) Maloch of Locust Grove and Tiffanie (Ron) Pittington of Locust Grove; grandchildren: Ana (Travis) McGill, Tori Pittington, Christian Pittington, Martina Maloch, Alyssa Maloch, and Clara Pittington; great grandchildren: Maggie, TJ, and Ollie; father: William E. Matheny; siblings: Lisa (Vernon) Evans and Ray (Christy) Craft; and a host of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 3:00 PM.
