Stuart was raised in Warner Robins, Georgia and attended college at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. After school, he moved to North Atlanta to pursue a career in web design where he made many lifelong friends and enjoyed hobbies such as scuba diving, biking, and camping.
In 2002, Stuart married his true love, Shannon, and together they moved to McDonough, Georgia where they built a beautiful life. They truly enjoyed spending time together and shared many passions including cooking and trying new foods, taking trips, spending time with family and friends, and rescuing animals.
In 2008, Stuart became the father of Scarlett. He was so proud of her and loved teaching her anything from riding a bike to baking macarons to building furniture. Stuart enjoyed playing video games and riding the thrill rides at amusement parks with Scarlett.
Stuart was a quiet man, but he loved to be around people and was the person you called when you needed help. He was a problem solver and couldn’t stand to see someone desperate or in need.
While he loved web design, he had many interests outside of work. With an eye for architecture and woodworking, Stuart completed many home renovations from design to finish. As a beer enthusiast, he enjoyed home brewing. He also loved riding his motorcycle and formed close friendships through his motorcycle club.
Stuart was very competitive and took a strong liking to CrossFit. The gym became family. Even when his body started failing him, he would find a way to challenge himself through exercise.
Stuart's example of strength, determination and love of family will live on through Shannon, Scarlett, his brother Scott (Audrey), his nephew Ryker, his parents, and all those whose lives he touched and impacted over the years.
Stuart gave his all in life, and that included his painful battle with cancer. He fought fearlessly until there was absolutely no more fight left in his body. He passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Through the sadness, there is solace in knowing that he is now pain-free and whole.
A celebration of Stuart's life will be held on Saturday July 30, 2022, in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Ga at 11:00 am.
