She would later attend the University of Georgia, following her sister Glenda Wright Hogg, and then go on to graduate with a degree in Business Administration, while also being a member of the sorority Alpha Chi Omega.
She married her husband & love of her life, Bill Parham, in 1973 and together they shared love and success, in both business and life. They also shared a love for bass fishing, vacationing to Florida, and animals in need of a home. So much so that there was never time you would not see them without a rescued furry family member nearby.
Susan was unfailingly generous to all who knew her, friends and family alike. She enjoyed a good game of Uno or Checkers, a Luke Bryan song, and she always managed to fill the room with her laughter. She leaves behind an impact on both the community of McDonough, GA and anyone who was lucky enough to have known her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nancy Wright, her brother Jerry T. Wright and her husband Bill.
She is survived by her sister Glenda Wright Hogg (William) of Marietta, nieces Amanda Trout, Locust Grove GA, Paula Gaston(Carlos), Snellville GA, Lynn Hobbs(Perry), Thomson GA, Melanie Taylor (Chester), Cartersville GA and nephews Steve Merka (Lois), San Diego CA, John Grice(Rochelle), Bethlehem GA, Jay Wright (Julia), Charlotte NC. Sisters-in-law Carol Grice, Grayson GA and Mildred Wright, Thomson GA.
A viewing will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday September 18, 2026 at Haisten Funeral Home 1745 S Zack Hinton Pkwy, McDonough, GA 30253.
