Ternar was born on Jan. 10, 1943 on the island of Nevis, WI to Joshua and Susanna Archibald. She was the eldest of 9 children from this union. Ternar attended the Cumbermare School in New Castle, Nevis. She moved to St. Croix USVI in 1965 where she was employed as an office assistant for John Alexander. She later bought the business and independently ran Archibald Insurance Company until her retirement in 2009. Ternar loved the Lord and was very active in her church. She served as head deaconess, personal ministries leader, church board member, school board member, choir member, and served on the health ministries team. She received awards for her service in the church and community including; Mother of the Year, Awards of appreciation for services to Health Ministries, Personal Ministries and Pathfinders/Adventurers. Ternar moved to Georgia in 2007 and lived with her daughter. Ternar loved life and it showed in her smile, her love for people, her generosity and her caring spirit. The celebration of Life services will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the Conyers Seventh-day Adventis Church, 3001 Old Salem Road, Conyers, GA 30013. The viewing will be held at 10:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Repast will be at the Conyers SDA Church. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and public health regulations, masks are required and social distancing protocols will be adhered to.
