Thomas Ellington

Thomas Gaines Ellington, Jr age 85, of Saint Simons Island, GA passed away November26, 2018. He was born in Thomaston, GA on November5, 1933. He graduated from Robert E Lee High School and was a graduate of Georgia Tech with a BS in Textile Engineering.

Mr. Ellington had a long and successful career with the DuPont Co. He also served in the US Army.

He is survived by his two daughters, Robin Lynn Ephraim (David) of Sugarland, TX and Dr. Jan Ellington-Reed (Earl) of McDonough, GA. Also Shirley Petersen, the mother of his two daughters. In addition he is survived by his two grandchildren, Jason Peter Ephraim (Jenny) of Houston, TX and Jordan Nicole Ephraim of Sugarland, TX. He is also survived by his two great granddaughter, Eve Charlotte Davidson and Blair Mackenzie Davidson of Sugarland, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ellington.

Mr. Ellington is survived by his sister Joyce Pickern (Buzzy) of St. Simons Island, GA.

Funeral arrangements by Haisten Funerals and Cremations of McDonough, GA. The family will have a private Memorial Service at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of America at alzfdn.org
