Thomas "Tom" Anthony Farah, age 87, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022. He was born January 23, 1935 in Maxton, NC to the late Habby and Nellie Baddour Farah. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Fred Farah, Louise Joseph, Margaret Deraney and Elizabeth Cannon. Tom faithfully served his country in the United States Navy and was a proud and patriotic veteran. He was a parishioner of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church and was a past Grand Knight in the Knight's of Columbus. Tom retired from Snapper Equipment Company and then had a career as an engineer for the Peachtree City Development Corporation laying out the City of Peachtree City. He also owned a landscaping business, was a member of the Lions Club, and enjoyed woodworking, especially building dog houses and windmill ducks. Of all things he was most proud of in his career was being the first Fire Chief of Henry County in 1974. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Vicki Gasses Farah; son, Vince (Rhonda) Farah; grandchildren, Gina (Joseph) Dumas and Jacob (Elita) Farah; great grandchildren, Evan, Levi, Peyton and Elijah. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 - 11:00 am in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at McDonough City Cemetery with full honors from the Henry County Fire Department. Friends may visit the family Saturday one hour prior to the service.
