Tim Robert Swymer

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who left this world peacefully with his loving wife by his side. Tim Robert Swymer, 66, of McDonough, GA, entered into the arms of Jesus, Monday, April 13th, at his home following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born April 30, 1959 in Eatonton, GA. Tim was a man of quiet strength, strong faith, kindness, and unwavering love. Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many with his generosity, wisdom, and gentle spirit. Whether through his work, his friendships, or his role as a family man, he made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Tim graduated from Putnam County High School in 1977 where he excelled in sports and music. Following high school and a short time at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. Tim was a dedicated business owner, spending the last twenty three years serving his community at Scrubs and Chefswear in Stockbridge, GA.

He will be remembered for his warm smile, his steady presence, and the love he gave so freely. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents Archie Will and Virginia Smith Swymer and his first wife LuAnn Nail Swymer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Burchell Swymer of McDonough, GA, sons Scott (Alicia Hernandez) Swymer of Cumming, GA, Matt (Caitlin) Swymer of Locust Grove, GA, and daughter Brittany (Wesley) Guy of McDonough, GA. Tim is also survived by six grandchildren (Tiyonna, Samantha, Levi, Weston, Addison and Anna Grace). He also leaves behind two brothers Dee (Patti) Swymer and Tod (Pamelia) Swymer of Eatonton, sister in-law Cheryl (Terry) Spain of Cumming, GA, brother in-law Ed Travelstead of Buford, GA, mother and father in-laws Joyce (Steve) Hubbard of McDonough, GA, father in law Jim Burchell of Stockbridge, GA, brother in-law Keith (Tammy) Burchell of McDonough, GA. Tim is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
