Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Born on July 31, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York, Tina was the cherished daughter of Catherine Paterson and Chester Paterson. Tina was the heart of her family, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose energy, generosity, and joy lit up every room she entered. She is survived by her devoted husband, Isaiah Miller Jr.; her loving children Kayla Dawson, Tiffany Stanford (Julian Stanford), and Terrence Miller (Kandice Miller); and her adored granddaughter Jordan Stanford, who lovingly called her Grandmama. Tina was also a proud aunt and deeply loved her nieces and nephews Malia, Catherine, Sarah, baby Lily Grace, Symone, Bryce and Darren. Tina is also survived by her siblings: Chshune Bailey, Chshone Bailey, Thelma Katrina Paterson, and Charlene Finch. She had a special sisterly bond with Marleny Bailey (sister-in-law), Teisha Diallo, and Sarai Rodriguez, all of whom she considered family. Tina began her career in 1988 as a secretary with the New York District Attorney’s Office and worked her way up to become a Senior Investigator, serving until 2010. Her dedication to justice and community continued through roles with the Legal Aid Society, New York State Homes and Community Renewal, and the Department of Education. After retiring to McDonough, Georgia, Tina quickly became a pillar of her new community, bringing people together with her charisma, leadership, and heart. She served on the HOA board, planned neighborhood events with passion, and remained deeply connected to her roots in Staten Island and the friends she made throughout her life. Tina’s zest for life was unmatched. She loved dancing, especially to reggaetón, 90s party music, house, and gospel. She was passionate about Zumba, going to the gym, and attending services at Fellowship Bible Baptist Church. She was a creative decorator, known for her beautifully adorned home during the holidays, especially Christmas, where she proudly displayed multiple themed trees. She had a deep love for traveling, trying new restaurants, cooking, swimming, and hosting BBQs and family gatherings. She had a special bond with her dog Kenzie, who brought her comfort and joy in her final years. She adored watching Hallmark movies, football, and sharing FaceTime calls and sweet moments with her granddaughter. Family was everything to Tina, and her love for her children, granddaughter, nieces, and extended family was endless. Tina will be remembered for her strength, warmth, humor, and confidence. She had an extraordinary ability to connect with anyone, lift spirits, and bring excitement to even the dullest moments. Her selflessness, perseverance, and unwavering faith in God defined the way she lived her life. A Celebration of Life for Tina will be held at 11:00am on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253.
