

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Janet Norred Barber and his sisters, Hazel Yarbrough, Louise Holcombe and brothers Lawrence Barber and Hubert Barber.
He is survived by his four children, Gina (Kenny) Foster, Terri (Larry) Kessinger, Phillip Barber and Kelli Logalbo; two sisters, Ann Drake, and Carolyn (Mike) Schuster; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Virgil was a hardworking, loyal and dedicated employee. He retired after 45 years of service at Genuine Parts Company. He loved having a vegetable garden and planting flowers to watch them grow. He was especially proud of his blueberry bushes. He loved spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, McDonough, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough.
