

Wade was born and raised in Glenwood, Georgia and was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Albert Bright and Della Mae Ryals Bright. Wade was a US Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Following his service with the US Department of Defense, Wade was employed with the Federal Aviation Administration from which he retired after a 35+ year career. Wade was subsequently employed with Raytheon, Martin Marietta, and Lockheed-Martin until 2009.
Wade was preceded in death by his brothers, Noah “N.A.” Bright, Henry Bright, and Raymond Bright; sister, Dean Smith; brothers-in-law, Robert Young, Burien Smith; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Bright, Betty Bright, Virginia McGuire; niece, Emma Bright.
Wade is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dora Ann Young Bright; daughter, LeAnne Bright; sons, Samuel Bright and Michael “Tony” Bright (Paige); grandchildren, Jared “Jay” Bright (Mariah), Parker Bright (Jamie), Julianna Porter (Thomas), Melody Bright, and Aaron Bright; great-grandchildren, Whitley Bright, Siler Bright, and Lincoln Bright; many nephews and nieces.

A visitation will be held at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, located at 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia, 30253, on November 1, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Haisten chapel at 3:00 pm. The committal service will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 640 McGarity Rd, McDonough, Georgia, 30253.
