

Mr. Wesley David Driggers, age 81 of McDonough, Georgia passed away May 27, 2014. He was born in Camden, South Carolina to the late David Daniel and Cleia Rogers Driggers. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Johnson and by four sisters. Wesley served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was employed with Ford Motor Company for sixteen years and with Turner Broadcasting for ten years. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church for 25 years and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He was proud of being a 23 year heart transplant recipient. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty Catoe Driggers of McDonough; daughters, Gail (W.T.) Mahon of Middleburg, Florida, Cindy (Dan) Hardy of McDonough; grandchildren, Tommy (Mary) Mahon of Orange Park, Florida, Michael (Leslie) Mahon of Jacksonville, Florida, Phillip (Carrie) Johnson of McDonough, Amy (Robert Echols) Johnson of McDonough, Katie (Josh) Black of Locust Grove; 18 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; sister, Marie (Frank) Usher of Charleston, South Carolina. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Rev. Al O’Quinn will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
