Wesley Carl Mosel

Wesley Carl Mosel of McDonough GA or Wes, Dad, Pawpaw or Grandpa Wes as he was known to most, left us on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the young age of 92. He was born in Madelia, MN on March 17, 1930. At 17, he went into the Army for 20 years. His last year in the Army, he was stationed in the White House. For the next 20 1/2 years he worked for the Secret Service, driving numerous Presidents and their families. Wes then went to work for Home Depot. Finally, one of the highlights of his life was working for the Atlanta Braves for 17 years. He was preceded in death by: mother Lorayne Hansen (John), father Carl Mosel and grandchildren: Lil Hop, Donald and Diane. He was survived by: his wife Sylvia, six children: Diana (Joe) Yates of Riverview, Florida, Ricky (Kristy) Mosel of Stockbridge, Georgia, Troy (Michelle) Mosel of Jackson, Georgia, Jennifer (Ricky) Melendez of McDonough, Georgia, Major Harlan (Sandy) Mosel of Fayetteville, Georgia and Todd (Tami) Mosel of Vero Beach, Florida, twenty grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, brother & sister in laws and numerous cousins, family and friends and loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia.
