William P. “Bill” Clotfelter was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, sibling, and friend. He was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 8, 2022. He was born to William “Rex” and Sarah Clotfelter in 1947, in McDonough, Georgia. He attended Henry County High School and married Patricia Hobby, also of McDonough, in 1968. Together they had two children: Angela and Brian. Bill was a hardworking, multi-faceted individual utilizing his tenacity and easygoing personality to successfully establish and operate several businesses from catering and vending to landscaping. Most recently, Bill owned the Grove Barbershop in Locust Grove, Georgia where he worked twelve years as a Master Barber until retiring in December 2019. As a dedicated father and grandfather, he was front and center to support his children and grandchildren in their pursuits and passions. As a devoted man of God, Bill served as a deacon at McDonough Assembly of God, Mt. Carmel Road Assembly of God, and New Testament Community Church. At home, one could often find Bill in his shop woodworking, repairing, and even sometimes “inventing”. It was always a thrill to see what new gadget for fun or tool for work would come out of his beloved shop. Bill physically stood tall at six feet, two inches, but his stature as a kind and compassionate individual was even greater. He will be missed immensely by all those who loved him dearly. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia; children: Angela (Ray) Rego and Brian (Kiesha) Clotfelter; grandchildren: Kieley Clotfelter, Collin Rego and Kiera Clotfelter; brothers: Allan (Geraldine) Clotfelter, Charlie (Mindy) Clotfelter, and Terry (Laura) Clotfelter; sister: Anita Cole; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Lynn Grant; and brothers-in-law: Clarence Cole and Don Grant. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 AM. The family welcomes all expressions of sympathy including cards, flowers, and memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or charity of choice.
