Mr. William Benjamin Denson, age 56 of Jackson, Georgia passed away February 9, 2019. Ben was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Roy Benjamin and Gail Harriett Ward Denson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Eugene Denson and his step-father, James Harrison Wood. Ben worked for Henry County Board of Education for eleven years and was a faithful member of Hope Bible Church. He loved his family and was devoted to his son. He was an avid Georgia Tech fan and loved to watch the Atlanta Braves. Ben loved to "shoot the bull" and talk sports all the time. he also enjoyed listening to the band, Chicago. Survivors include his son, Micah Denson of Bellevue, Nebraska; sister, Joy Roberson of Sautee; nephews, Devin and Daniel Roberson both of Sautee; Micah's mother, Cheryl Denson; special friend, Shirley Parker. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2019 - 1:00 PM at Hope Bible Church in Locust Grove. Pastor David Osteen will officiate. Entombment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro at 3:00 PM. Friends may visit the family Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
