William Eugene Fields

Mr. William Eugene Fields, age 81, of Hampton, GA passed away on July 6, 2016. Mr. Fields was born in Henry County, the son of the late Mamie Pearl Turner Fields and Elijah Arnold Fields. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Moore, Bernice Sams, and Wyman Fields. Mr. Fields enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, traveling, golf, sports, and the Shrine. He served his country in the US Army for three years. He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Forest Park Masonic Lodge, The Scottish Rite, and Yaarab Shrine. Survivors are his wife of 59 plus years, Marcene Robinson Fields of Hampton; sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis Eugene and Nannette Fields of Hampton, David Thomas and Ann Fields of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Angelia Brown of Milledgeville and Jamie Pelz of Stockbridge; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Fields will be on Friday, July 8, 2016 beginning 2:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Ballard, Rev. V Ray Robinson, Rev. Billy Lewis, and Rev. Mike Nickolich officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
