William Ronald "Ronnie" Hatcher

William Ronald "Ronnie" Hatcher, age 80, of Byromville, Georgia passed away August 24, 2023. He was born August 24, 1943 in Blakely, Georgia to the late Johnnie Francis and Christine Moore Hatcher. He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna (Marshal) Hannah. Ronnie retired after over 25 years with Crete Carrier as a truck driver. He was a member of the Byromville Baptist Church and was a graduate of the Georgia Fire Academy which led to him serving his community as a Firefighter/EMT for the Arlington Fire Dept. He was an avid fisherman and reader. he enjoyed driving his eighteen wheeler and playing Challenge Yahtzee. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Pat Hatcher; step-daughters, Cherry Sanbury of McDonough, Penny (Paul) Langston of Byromville and Sonya (Jeff) Witmer of Bonaire; daughter, Kim (Robert) Jackson of Edison; son, Bobby (Cris) Hatcher of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Travis (Cyndie) Sansbury and Brad Sansbury all of Hapeville, Andrew (Mary) Langston of Mobile, AL, Ashley (Tyler) Mixon of Byromville, Raychel Witmer of Bonaire, Jeffrey Witmer, Jr. of Selma, NC, Brandi Proctor of Goldsboro, NC, Jake Jackson of Edison and Nicholas Hatcher of Ocala, FL; great grandchildren, Gaven Proctor, Leah Whitmer, Hunter Witmer, Callie Mixon and caroline Mixon; sister, Connie Hatcher of Arlington; brother, Franklin (Shirley) Hatcher of Powder Springs. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 27, 2023 - 3:00 pm at Byromville Baptist Church, 713 Patterson Street, Byromville, GA 31007. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 310 Fish Hatchery Rd., Cordele, GA 31015. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked be made to the Byromville Baptist Church or Amedisys Hospice in memory of Ronnie.
