Mr. William Malcolm Hilsman "Bill", age 81, of McDonough, Ga passed away August 11, 2018. Bill was born in Daytona, FL the son of the late Lois Twilley Hilsman and John Robert Hilsman. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nina Ruth Lively Hilsman, and a daughter, Cheryl Hilsman Bragg; and sisters, Elizabeth Price and Kathlyne Whitley.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, trapping, and training dogs for search and rescue. He was President of the GA Piedmont Region K-9 Search and Rescue Team. He served his country in the US Navy from 1955-1959. Bill worked for Delta Air Lines for 30 years, he also owned and operated Hilsman's Deer Cooler for 48 years.
Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Malcolm and Cathy Hilsman of Conyers; grandchildren, Robbie Hilsman of Monticello, Brynn Hewitt and husband, Craig of Covington,
Ashley Bragg of LaGrange, Andrea Bragg of McDonough; and great grandson, Cayson Clontz of McDonough; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Interment will follow at the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery in White Plains, GA.
