Mr. William Harold Hooten, age 91 of McDonough, Georgia passed away October 23, 2016. He was born in Porterdale, Georgia to the late Bud and Missouri Austin Hooten. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Hooten and by siblings, Huey, Billy and J.D. Hooten and Mardell Sowell. Harold faithfully served his country in the United States Army during WWII. After working a government job, he opened and operated Hooten Paint and Body Shop for 18 years. Harold was a member of Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, hunting, traveling in the motor home and taking care of his family. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ann Hooten; daughter, Bonnie (Tim) Clark; grandsons, Jeff and Ryan Clark all of McDonough. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 – 2:00 pm at Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Zack Nipper and Rev. Roger Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Hooten.
