William H. "Bill" Presley, age 80, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Bill was born October 2, 1941in Macon, Georgia to the late William Roy and Ruth Hodges Presley. He was a graduate of Jackson High School, Class of 1959 and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Georgia in 1963, where he was a member of the business fraternity.
Bill retired from DFACS after 30 years of service and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. He was very service oriented, generous and liked to care for others. He enjoyed cooking for his family, taking trips to the beach, enjoyed long walks and was an avid Georgia Bulldawg fan.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Gwen Presley of Locust Grove; children, Michael (Tyane) Presley of Thomaston, Ken (Cathy) Presley of Locust Grove and Melanie (Billy) Shirah of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Lara (Zack) Harrison, Kara (Tanner) Shirah, Trish Presley, Mary Katherine Presley, Kenneth Presley, Jr., Trey Shirah and McKenna Shirah; great grandchildren, Raimi Cole Leiferman, Tinley Rae Harrison and River Harrison; brother, Tommy (Carol) Presley of Jackson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 - 1:00 pm at the New Hope United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
