Ambrosio G. Mondragon

Ambrosio G. Mondragon, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in Temple, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at St. Eugene Catholic Church in McGregor, Texas with Father Albert Ruiz officiating. Interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery in McGregor, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, Texas.

Ambrosio was born on July 28, 1941, to Manuel and Victorina (Gonzalez) Mondragon in Mexico. He was a longtime resident of McGregor, Texas.

Today, we celebrate the life of a remarkable man, Ambrosio G. Mondragon. He was a source of wisdom, love, and laughter and his absence leaves a void in our lives. We cherish the memories he had, a way or making each of us feel special. Whether he was sharing stories of his youth or simply sitting in comfortable silence, his presence was a gift, his laugh was contagious, his advice priceless, and his love unconditionally. He taught us the importance of kindness, hard work and family.

Survivors include his wife; Maria Rivera, children: Jose Guadalupe Gonzalez, Ana Gonzalez, Margarito Gonzalez, Ambrosio Gonzalez, Jr., Osiel Gonzalez, Isael Gonzalez, Minerva Gonzalez, Israel Gonzalez, and Roque Gonzalez.

Though we mourn his passing. We find comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on in our hearts, his love and lessons are with us always.
