

Betty Ann (Davis) Morgan, age 80, passed away on December 25, 2025, in Waco, Texas. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Moody, Texas, with The Reverend Mickey Fugitt officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, Texas.
Betty was born on November 25, 1945, to Henry Jackson Davis and Ruth Louise (Payne) Davis in Waco, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Moody, Texas. Betty graduated from Moody High School. She married the love of her life, Jack Morgan, on March 27, 1971, in Moody, Texas. They celebrated 33 years of marriage together. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2004. Betty worked as a caretaker in the home health industry for 25 years. She loved her children, grandchildren, and most especially her great-grandsons, DJ and Devyn. Betty loved crafts, gardening, and her house plants. She loved most of all, spending time with her family and friends around the holidays and going out to have Mexican food. When the weather permitted, she loved being outdoors, sitting in the sun, or going on hours-long drives to nowhere. She enjoyed sitting and completing dozens of word find puzzles . She loved cooking for her family and friends whenever she could, often making everything from scratch with just a cookbook in hand. She never met a stranger and treated everyone she encountered like an old friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Stephanie Gregg. Bonus child, CK Vandiver, grew up near us and stayed at our place as often as he could, growing up even into adulthood. Ck passed tragically in 2004.
Survivors include her sons, Jessie Davis, Sr. and wife, Judy of McGregor, Billy Davis and wife, Amy of McGregor, James L. Morgan of Moody, and John Morgan of Moody, grandchildren: Jessie Davis, Jr., Kimberly Gregg, Christopher Gregg and wife, Shannon, Jennifer Davis, and son’s DJ and Devyn, Hailey Morgan and fiancé Zachary Bourque of New Iberia, Louisiana, Joshua Morgan and partner, Jaymie of McGregor, Aiden Morgan of McGregor; sister, Barbara Siler of Moody, numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Pallbearers: J. R. Resendez, Shane Gutierrez, Billy Campbell, Jessie Davis, Jr., Aiden Morgan, and John Morgan.
