Bonnie was born on July 17, 1926 on a ranch near Flat, Texas to Fred and Eva Homan. She loved her parents and loved life on the ranch with her Palomino horse named Dixie, as well as her many other farm pets. The family later sold the ranch due to constant cattle rustling and moved to Oglesby. Bonnie began working at Blue Bonnet Ordinance Plant at the age of 17.She later worked at South Ft. Hood where she met many wonderful lifetime friends. Over the years, she held positions in Federal Service, in the finance department, and worked in Hawaii, Oregon, and Texas. Bonnie was an active member of the National Active Retired Federal Employees (NARFE). She was the San Antonio District 7 representative for NARFE and in April 1994 they awarded her the Noel D. Patterson Award, in special recognition and appreciation of her service. Bonnie was an accomplished dancer, seamstress, and cook. She enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, and doll making, but she most enjoyed talking and visiting with her many friends. Bonnie was married for 23 years to William F. Prouty of Glen Falls, New York and for 26 years to Claude E. Arnold of McGregor. Both men preceded Bonnie in death.
Bonnie is survived by daughter, Brenda McNabb and many close and dear friends, who will sorely miss her.
