Carmen Gomez Gonzales

Carmen Gonzales, age 92, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 in Waco, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Cole Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 10 a.m. at McGregor Cemetery in McGregor, Texas with Deacon Victor Beltran officiating.

Carmen was born on April 16, 1923 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Juan and Eustolia (Flores) Gomez. Carmen was a longtime resident of McGregor, Texas and a member of St. Eugene’s Catholic Church.

Carmen is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Eustolia Gomez; husband, Fred Gonzales, Sr.; two twins sons, daughter-in-laws, Vicki Vasquez Gomez and Amber Maxwell Gonzales and five sisters.

Survivors include daughter, Mary Lou Whiteside and husband, Mark of McGregor, Texas; sons, Johnny Gomez of Hewitt, Fred Gonzales, Jr. and wife, Belinda of McGregor and Tony Gonzales and wife, Kathy of Robinson; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; four sisters and one brother.

Pallbearers: Domingo Flores, Frank Olivarez, Robert Marquez, Tommie Contreras, Marshall Rodriguez, Lupe Ledesma, Richard Rivas.
