Carol Dian Wiethorn

Carol Dian Wiethorn, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in West, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, Texas with Reverend J. T. Miller officiating. Burial will follow in McGregor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Cole Funeral Home.

Carol was born on May 4, 1939, to Lonnie and Sophie (Willman) Sandhoff in Coryell City, Texas. She was a longtime resident of McGregor, Texas. Carol graduated from McGregor High School in 1957. She married the love of her life, Raymond Henry Wiethorn on March 14, 1964. Carol was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor, Texas. She worked for 30 years in the Banking Industry. All of her friends and family called her Nana after she became a pretty cool Grandma. She loved Elvis, Diet Dr. Pepper, and playing bingo and dominoes. Her grandchildren were extra special to her. She enjoyed watching them in all the activities that they did. She was devoted to church, family, and friends. We are so much better off because we had her in our lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Raymond Henry Wiethorn.

Survivors include her son, Darren Wiethorn and wife, Carol; daughter, Sherri Orr and husband, Ashley; grandchildren: Kendall Orr and wife, Samantha, Kason Orr and wife, Hayden, Kate Branch, Daylon Wiethorn, Dalton Wiethorn, Breeanna Wiethorn and Fiancé, Cody Washburn, great-grandchildren: Chandler Orr, Savannah Wiggins; sister, Patsy Miller and husband, John, brother, Roger Sandhoff and wife, Kay.

In Lieu of flowers, Memorial can be made to Zion Lutheran Church at P.O. Box 156 McGregor, Texas 76657.
