Clarence Adams

Clarence Oscar "Gene" Adams, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018, in Waco. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Old Perry Cemetery in Moody, Texas.

Clarence was born in Molden, Missouri on April 14, 1930, to Harvey Lane Adams and Ruby Beatrice (Huff) Adams. He graduated from High School in Arkansas, and served in the United States Army from July 15, 1947 to December 31, 1967. Clarence married Wanda Slagle in 1950. After he was honorably discharged from the Army, he was a civil servant for 15 years. Clarence was a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Freemason and he loved fishing and golf.

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife; two daughters; parents; three brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include his daughter, Gale Miller, of Moody, Texas; son Chuck Adams and wife, Katie, of Metairie, Louisiana; grandson, Hayden Tice and wife, Crystal, of Haslet, Texas; granddaughter, Denise Puente and husband, Jose, of Grapevine, Texas; great-grandchildren, Anthony Barragan, of Grapevine, Texas, Alyssa Puente, of Grapevine, Texas, and Ava Puente, of Grapevine, Texas.

Gene (Clarence ) was married to my sister so I've known him my whole life . He loved life and lived it well. Loved his family and we loved him. Gene will be missed by family, friends and the many people he touched along the way. When I think of him it will be with a smile and good memories I wish the same for you.
