Coleta Jean Morris

Coleta Morris, 76, of McGregor passed away Monday, May 9, 2022. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, May 13, 2022 at College Avenue Baptist Church in McGregor with the Reverend Buddy Sipe officiating. Interment will follow in Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.

Mrs. Morris was born on September 10, 1945 in Clifton, Texas to Nobel and Boots Coward. She graduated from McGregor High School and was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Morris loved traveling, shopping and spending time in her flower garden but her true love was her family. She married Punk Morris on September 1, 1962 in Oglesby and they made their home in McGregor.

Preceding Mrs. Morris in death were her father; Nobel Coward, husband; Punk of 58 years and sister; Anita Jones of Gatesville.

Mrs. Morris is survived by her mother; Boots Coward Watson of McGregor, son; P.J. Morris of McGregor, daughter; Melanie Morris of Oglesby, brother; Jimmy Coward of McGregor and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
